Every now and then, someone will start claiming how JoS has been made purely because of money. These claims are so absurd that they went from this to claiming (with no proof, of course) that our High Priests have been stealing money from donations for years!

Now, let’s look at the facts.

The Joy of Satan Ministries is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in the US.

Let’s see Wikipedia’s definition of a non-profit organization, that the Joy of Satan Ministries itself is:

“A nonprofit organization (NPO), also known as a non-business entity, not-for-profit organization, or nonprofit institution, is a legal entity organized and operated for a collective, public or social benefit, in contrast with an entity that operates as a business aiming to generate a profit for its owners. A nonprofit is subject to the non-distribution constraint: any revenues that exceed expenses must be committed to the organization's purpose, not taken by private parties.” ¹

And of course, according to US law, there are penalties for non-profit organizations that break their status by not following the laws.

Did the Joy of Satan Ministries lose their non-profit status? No.

Did the Joy of Satan Ministries pay any penalties? No.

Why don’t the people who claim that the Joy of Satan Ministries steals money show the proof to the authorities? Why don’t they show the proof to anyone actually?
